Local Festival is an event created to showcase NEA’s artists, artisans, businesses, and musicians. The purpose of the event is to support everything local while inspiring, motivating, and bringing the community together. The Foundation of Arts wants you to bring your family to downtown Jonesboro to celebrate the culture, arts, businesses, comedy, music, and overall talent of the greater NEA area.

 

Local Festival is being brought to you by FOA Music. Local Festival and the Foundation of Arts are working in affiliation with the DJA as well as the Jonesboro Parks and Recreation department. The event is family-friendly and will be held in downtown Jonesboro and surrounding areas located on Church Street/Huntington Avenue/Main Street/Monroe Avenue, held throughout many local venues in the downtown area! Local Festival 5 will begin on Friday, September 13th at 4 PM and go until 11 PM, picking back up on Saturday, September 14th at 10 AM and going until 11 PM.

 

Admission is free of charge. Some of the entertainment will include: A multi-stage, jam-packed music line-up featuring National acts as well as many of NEA and surrounding areas favorite musicians and bands, poetry readings, open-mics, golf-cart chauffeurs, professional wrestling, a carnival with games and rides, stand-up comedy, magic shows, vendor booths featuring local artists, artisans, local businesses, non-profit organizations, and a variety of food truck vendors and so much more! A community’s success is reflected through involvement and engagement.

 

The wider purpose of this event is to enhance the livelihood that serves all members of our community. By facilitating awareness and celebrating local artists/artisans/musicians/businesses etc., we enhance the livelihood that serves all members of the NEA area. We hope to create an atmosphere that brings people together to share ideas and strengthen and grow the local economy. Local Festival needs your sponsorships to pay for entertainment, stage/lighting, sound technicians, security, and other festival expenses.
